Vietnam is gradually becoming a popular destination to travelers around the world, which attracts a lot of investors and developers recently. This country is among the ones which have the biggest year-over-year increases in international tourist arrivals with an average rate of 30% during the past 3 years. In September 2018, Vietnam was recognised as "Asia's leading destination" at the 25th annual World Tourism Arwards. In addition, from July 1 2018, the Vietnamese government has extended visa-exemption policy for tourists travelling from the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy for the next three years until June 2021.

In the meantime, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts was acquired by AccorHotels in 2018, currently operating more than 80 properties in 24 countries worldwide.
